ROFL this is a wonderful post, even if I'm now going to snigger every time I walk past anything Egyptian in a museum... Thank goodness I hadn't read this *before* visiting the Tutankhamum exhibition a couple of years back, or I'd never have got round it without family members getting suspicious...

Hermione,

Well, fly whisks and CP implements often look a lot alike! In fact, I've seen people using those Electric Fly Swatters on unlucky people's bottoms!

I have a crook and flail pin from the last time I visited an Egyptian exhibit. It's stored away somewhere, and I think the paint had started to peel, but I must resurrect it.

Thanks for reminding me! I guess I knew they were a symbol of the Pharoah's power, but I hadn't seen a flogger then, so assumed the flail was a sort of fly whisk.

Hugs,
Hermione
