Happy Mad For Plaid Day (otherwise known as the first day of autumn), everyone!
To celebrate, here I am wearing a kilt-skirt. Now mind you, Mija only specified the skirt … so I was literal!

Ack that is my clan tartan! Nice to see it in a kilt rather than a stadium blanket or the lining of a raincoat! Also looks WAY better on you than it EVER would on me!
Paul — You are right, of course! He had to go into work, so I rushed to do the shoot after my shower (thus the wet hair!)

Boymeat — Sorry about the feet — my Master simply doesn’t have that fetish wired in (with all the others he has!) and I’m always reminding him, “Don’t cut off the feet!” To be fair, the lens he was working with was fixed focal length, and he was standing in the other room to shoot these! Oh — and I’ll be in your part of the world, soon! We need to hang out!
Pandora — How would you say, “plaid”? You know, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone from the UK actually say that word…! (And why would you, when you have “tartan,” which is really the correct word, anyways!)
But I will add that *no one* will mind you throwing a picture of yourself in a tartan skirt in a day or so late. Nosireebob!

Probably not the most helpful in defense of wearing the skirt over other items of plaid but there are always the hair accessories of head bands or hair bows of plaid

Of course, Zille, this begs the question: Would you then be following in the footsteps of the “painted ladies” of legend or, taking a less-traveled road, might you instead be an Illustrated Lass in the tradition of Bradbury’s “Illustrated Man”? Each picture would thus tell a story, but not just any story as you may recall, for the viewer would find herself subsumed within the painting, perhaps in this one fully bared and bound, trussed into an OTK position and swinging helplessly from a tall tree, her cries echoing from the very mountains as she’s smacked, to and fro, like a naughty piñata. In another, she might find herself a little maid, tasked with dusting a room full of the Master’s adjustable furniture which, she learns to her horror, have a mind of their own: winches, gears, pulleys, and various other mechanical “aids” all designed to help the her “bring up the rear” – whether she wants to or not. And, lest one forget, there are the numerous pictures of schoolgirls who, like you, find ingenious ways of treating their uniforms with disrespect, and of paying the price. . .
