I’m thinking the vintage erotica seems more erotic because at the time it was made, it was more of a departure from the realm of acceptibility than even much more explicit erotica is today. I think the internet has made erotica and porn more mainstream than ever before.

New Orleans has always had a special place in the pantheon of American Cities. Think of Richard Florida’s recent book “Which City are You”?. It was the destination of the Easy Rider road trip. And it’s reputation for “decadence”was such that it was possible for fundamentalist religious types to aver that its recent destruction was God doing another Soddom and Gomorrah trip. And of course New Orleans has long been a hotbed of voodoo cults and jazz music. Or so I’ve heard. Not that “I” think that’s in any way a bad thing.

Zille, I’m enjoying the 19th century feel of these pictures. For me these pictures make New Orleans even more fascinating then it is already.
The second picture is so sensual, very suitable for a sporting house or boudoir.
