Continuing our theme of Bettie Page this week, here is Bettie again in the Top role, this time with an implement near and dear to spanker’s hearts: the hair brush. (It is rather less near and dear to the spankee’s hearts! Whoowheee, can they sting!)

What I love about this image: the shiny satin dress, cuban-foot stockings (and just look at Bettie’s calves! Phwoar!), the rope being pulled up between the girl’s bottom cheeks, and the room they are in (what is it: a tack room? a dungeon?)

I think this would be a perfect shot to use for a caption contest! Who wants to have a go…?

I don’t know how I missed when Adele posted this, but it’s just so perfect for right now! The other night my darling Miss Maggie Mayhem won a contest for being the best Bettie Page look-alike (I’m waiting for SkinTwo to publish the article before I put stuff up over here) so I think while I’m waiting I’m gonna go on a bit of a Bettie Page kick. And why not — this wonderful lady deserved every compliment and laud she ever got or will get!

Here she is being adorably clueless about how to dominate and spank another woman. Her sweet innocence is just one part of her many charms!

So here is the first of the interviews Miss Maggie Mayhem and I will be conducting over … well, for as long as we feel like, really! Besides getting up to “no good,” in general, that’s the reason we started doing the Mayhem & Trouble videos — because we know so many damn cool people, and we want to share them! Enjoy!

The Knotty Boys launch “Back On the Ropes”

The Knotty Boys had the Northern California release party for their second book, “Back On the Ropes” at Bondage-a-Go-Go on Wednesday, the 4th of March 2009.

Some of San Francisco’s finest local fetish luminaries were out to support Dan and JD. To name a few: Ken Marcus – their photographer for this book; Lochai – rigger, artist the new manager and inspiration for hogtied.com; Michael Blue – fetish photographer and former co-owner of Beauty Bound, and fetish and bondage model Kumi.

Being the sharing sort, Dan and JD didn’t just bring their books, but also gave a very fun duo-model demo of their rope-art skills, including a very dynamic suspension.

Whether the addition of The Knotty Boys and their friends had anything to do with it is not certain, but according to the club’s promoter, “T’was the best night so far in ‘09!” with the club packed with happy perverts of all stripes and variations, despite the cold rain literally pouring down on the San Francisco streets outside.

There will be a Southern California book release part on April 25th 2009, Upstairs at Bar Sinister, 1652 N. Cherokee Avenue in Hollywood, CA from 10PM-1:30AM.

Okay, keeping those dual bits o’ perfection in mind, read this snippet from her article….

This is the part of the story where I try to explain a poor decision without seeming like a complete moron. What I am about to describe to you is a situation that has most people wondering how someone could do something so extraordinarily stupid. I’m going to do my best to rationalize things, but I knew better. I assumed it would end badly, and I did it anyway. I shall accept all mockery with whatever dignity and grace I can muster.

The best thing I could find at the gas station was a patch kit with rubber cement. We all remember rubber cement, don’t we? I looked back fondly upon the often-used glue of my childhood and figured that it would work out just fine. This was the very thing I used to make collages and homemade models of the solar system. Maybe it would sting a little, but how bad could it really be? Surely it couldn’t feel worse than a single-tail whip or wintergreen alcohol applied immediately after a play piercing. I would use the rubber cement; the crisis would be averted; the photos would have my pasties; and everyone would be happy. It’s not like I was going to be completely comfortable at a bondage shoot anyway.
Is anyone here familiar with a chemical burn? I’m not talking about an unpleasant tingling. I’m talking about a volatile reaction to a caustic substance that results in tissue damage. I look calm in those photos, but my mind was incoherently full of expletives. How shall I describe the sensation? It was like fire ants chewing their way through my skin. Or maybe a cheese grater doused with mace. Silly model, I thought, putting vanity before anything else.

I wasn’t a little irritated or slightly raw. The end result was pretty ugly, and I will spare you the unfortunate details. As a model, my true success for the day is that you can’t see that ugliness in the pictures. We were making erotic photos, not a PSA about the dangers of putting harsh chemicals on sensitive parts of your body. I forced myself to focus on things like glaciers or the freezer aisle at a grocery store until I finally got word that all the photographers had gotten their shots and I could get dressed. Nothing seemed to soothe me until someone showed me a preview of the content we made. It was a painful experience, to be sure, but the photos were fabulous. Even as I was still rubbing my poor sore nipples, I felt confident that it had been worth it. The pain would go away eventually, but the pictures would endure….
