Today’s post comes to you from Vanillaland, to make you chuckle!

As many of you are probably aware, Dan Savage does a wonderful sex advice column. This week’s topic was right up our alley (us pervs who live up Kinky Alley, that is!) but it all comes about because vanilla people can get easily confused about those things which we spend all our time thinking!

I’m stumped, Dan. In the novel Fifty Shades of Grey, which has been the subject of much discussion due to its controversial subject matter (a young woman gets involved in a BDSM relationship), the term “canning” is used numerous times. Despite my best efforts, I cannot find a definition for this practice. Who else can I turn to but you?

It’s not canning (“a method of preserving food in which the food contents are processed and sealed in an airtight container”), it’s caning (“a form of corporal punishment consisting of a number of hits with a single cane usually made of rattan”).

I don’t know if the author of Fifty Shades of Grey dropped that extra “n” in there, CANNED, or if you did. But here’s hoping that millions of women all over the world aren’t fantasizing about having themselves canned by kinky billionaires. A person can survive—a person can even enjoy—a good thrashing. But being sealed in an airtight container? Not so much.

I just this moment ran across a surprise caning scene in a novel — and it’s a nun getting caned, to boot! So I grabbed the book, King of the Wood, and hustled over to the computer, to share it all with you!

In the story so far, a young lady named Edith is in an abbey for education and preparation for her marriage. The Abbess, her aunt and the Mother Abbess Christina. Christina wants Edith to make the choice to stay and become a nun, despite her father’s orders that Edith is to be married and is not there to take orders. Edith, for her part, is very much on her father’s side….

“Did I or did I not, yesterday, order you to put on the veil?”

Mutinous silence.

“Did I?” said Christina dangerously.

“Yes. Mother Abbess.” Edith muttered.

“And what did I say would happen to you if you persisted in arguing with me?”

Edith made herself look up again. “It will make no difference. I cannot wear the veil. Because of what my father said.”

“Because you are hard of heart, impious, unable to recognize a magnificent opportunity when it is put before you. I will give you one more chance, Edith. Go to your dorter and fetch the veil I gave you. Put it on. Then we will say no more about this foolish fit of defiance.”

Edith stared at her feet again and neither moved or answered.

“Very well, said Christina, and shot out a hand to grasp Edith’s arm. She was only in her forties, but her fingers looked as if they belonged to a woman much older. They were, however, extremely strong. “Come with me,” said Christina.

The other girls, who had drawn back, sorry for Edith but too frightened to speak in her defence, followed slowly, in an awed cluster, exchanging a few whispers. In the abbey building, they gathered at the foot of the dorter, up which Christina had dragged her victim.

They could hear it all. The most heart-rending part was they they heard the whistle of Christina’s cane for so long before Edith shrieked. They turned to scatter as their abbess stormed down again, but she saw them and and spoke sharply, calling them back. “None of you are to go to the dorter, or speak to her. She will come to the refectory, I hope, in a chastened state of mind and wearing her veil. You may speak to her then, but not to express sympathy. And those of you who are crying had better dry your tears. They’re wasted. She brought her troubles on herself.”

So, a new year, a new spanking video!

This one stars Pandora Blake and Thomas Cameron and me. And it was shot by Mr Defeu!

Zille Defeu sent us this fantasy before our first shoot with her. She wanted to play a stablehand unfairly punished over her jodhpurs, and came up with this scenario. The master of the house disciplines her with a riding crop for not performing her duties in a timely manner – and Zille is powerless to resist his amorous advances.

When Thomas’ wife walks in and sees him fondling one of the servants, Pandora assumes that Zille has seduced him. She demands that the slutty stablegirl be soundly whipped. Never mind that poor Zille has been thrashed once already! Pandora watches with relish as Zille is given a hard caning over her jodhpurs.

But the truth will out. When Zille finally speaks up for herself, she reveals that the reason she was lax with her duties was that she was running errands for Pandora – who it turns out is having an affair. Thomas decides that a comparable thrashing is only fair, and blackmails his wife into compliance. As Pandora bends over for the cane, Zille looks on with no small amount of satisfaction.

I am very VERY pleased with this video, and I recommend it to anyone who is either:

• A fan of Zille Defeu or Pandora Blake (Or Thomas Cameron!)
• Turned on by good acting in porn films
• Turned on by CP (riding crop and cane) over jodhpurs
• Turned on by manipulation roleplays
• Turned on by darker fantasies

(Actually, to be honest, I didn’t realize this was a “darker fantasy,” but it seems to be one of the “nastier” ones on the Dreams Of Spanking site! I’m afraid that if people use fantasies from my dirty mind, that’s just how it’s going to end up! Also, it has been called “1970′s porn-like.” Hrm. I’m afraid my fantasies also all generally run in that direction, too! Although the range is from “Victorian porn-like” to “Blushes Magazine porn-like”! It’s just how I roll!)

Actually, I think any caning aficionado will appreciate the video, for any number of reasons. Firstly, just watching a cane coming down on a nice bottom — which Cherry Torn certainly has! Another reason might be the lovely image of the beautiful Dominant woman, Claire Adams, talking over the naked sub on hands-and-knees, as if the latter is just a thing to use in the demo — it’s not active humiliation or dominance, but it’s still quite nice to watch! A third reason might be that there are those, like my Master, who’s knowledge of the cane comes from decades of experience, and who can smirk and feel pleasingly superior.
