A spanking for a lady and a spanking for her son

I’ve been working my way through the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters and when I got to the second one in the series, The Curse of the Pharaohs Amelia Peabody series - Curse of the Pharaohs by Elizabeth Peters I found some amusing spanking-related quotes. Now, this is a series set in Victorian England, so the author would actually have had to put some work into NOT mentioning CP, but still, all us spankos take what we can get when we read non-kinky books!

First, dialogue between a husband and wife:

After a moment of thoughtful silence he shook himself and said, in his usual careless tone, “So take care with Mr. Vandergelt, Amelia. He was not exaggerating when he called himself an admirer of the fair sex, and if I learn that you have yielded to his advances I will beat you.”
“I will take care that you don’t catch me, never fear.”

Then, reading a letter from their son (all typos sic):

Nurse is very cruel and will not give me any sweets. Aunt Evelyn would, but she is afraid of Nurse. So I have not been to a sweetshop since you left and I think you are very cruel and vishus to leave me. Uncle Walter spanked me yesterday only because I tore some pages out of his dikshunary. I needed to use them. He spanks very hard. I will not tear any more pages out of his dikshunary.

The couple, upon finishing the letter, decide that their son “needs discipline.”

There have been a few more hints and mentions of spanking – I am now on the fifth book, and am looking forward to more popping up in continuing books in the series, which is otherwise a fun mystery series about a pair of Victorian “Egyptologists” who run around digging up mummies and catching bad guys of all stripes. From what little I know of the topic, the Egyptian details seem quite accurate and reliable, and the views of Victorian England are detailed and loving.

Musings on Victorians…

I’ve been living in the Victorian era in books recently (not an unusual thing for me!) and today it led to a few musings.

It all started when I got this sudden urge to re-read The Secret Garden. (Which actually, was all because we’d watched The Chatterley Affair the other night, and I had an urge to read “a bit o’ th’ proper Yorkshire” dialect — I do so adore the Northern accents!)

My Master gave me a stack of books about Victorian times last Christmas, and they’ve been sitting in lovely heap ever since, waiting for “the right time.” Well, the right time seems to have come! I started out with What Jane Austen Ate and Charles Dickens Knew: From Fox Hunting to Whist-The Facts of Daily Life in Nineteenth-Century England, which I’d been looking forward to reading for a long time. As I go along in it, of course, I can’t help but find things which fire my (kinky) imagination.

‘Once a woman has accepted an offer of marriage,’ advised The What-Not, or Ladies Handbook in 1859, ‘all she has or expects to have become virtually the property of the man she has accepted as husband and no gift or deed executed by her is held to be valid…’

This is silly, but it makes me feel all gooey and romantic. I like to think that now that I’ve married my Master (and this is pretty obvious, considering that I call him Master), that I have become “virtually the property” of him. That, like a Victorian woman, I must answer to my husband in all things, and that in the eyes of the law I am pretty much just one of his possessions. That thought makes me feel so comfortable and happy. Continuing in that theme…

When the husband and wife exchanged vows, they became one person, and, in the words of jurist William Blackstone, ‘the husband was that person.’ The wife, as noted earlier, upon marriage lost virtually all powers over any property that she possessed. All her personal property automatically became her husband’s property to do with as he saw fit…. He could “correct” her if he wished, too, a right which was supposed to mean only verbal chastisement, but in practice often meant physical punishment.

Whee! All of the above for me, please!

And, from the section discussing men’s clothing,

And the cane, of course. No gentleman was ever without one

Absolutely! I’m sure you all agree with that. How can you properly chastise your wife without one?!

I’m going to wander off and daydream about living in a Victorian world….

The Recognition of the Great Marquis: canes and birches and cruelty

You all know I love a good spanking period piece! If given my druthers, I’d much rather read my spanking “erotica” set in past times, watch my spanking porn made on elaborate and detailed vintage sets, and play my spanking games fully in character as some Victorian damsel or Roman slave girl.

Which is why I love Lupus Pictures. I know, I know, they do stuff that is harder than most spankos prefer. But then again, sometimes, so do I! And I also don’t mind watching other girls taking a beating that I might not be able to get through, because I can at least do it in my fantasies, if not live it in reality.

And for all that anyone can live a reality that involves spanking and other CP and discipline, on any spanking blog you’ll still find lots of fantasy: dreams, day-dreams, erotic fantasies shared in hopes they might someday come true — or erotic desires bravely bared, despite their being impractical or dangerous to actually live out.

I think it’s pretty common that the first thing people look to, when they figure out that they are kinky, is the Marquis de Sade. I mean, he is the name behind the word “sadism,” and he is arguably the most famous kinkster who ever lived. Sadly, I’ve always found his most (in)famous works, Justine, Juliette, and The 120 Days of Sodom to be pretty dull (but of course, when I read them I was an impatient teenager desperately looking for the kink in between the pages discussing libertine philosophy. On the other hand, I’ve never needed much help to be a libertine, myself, so it was probably redundant, anyway!) but looking over those book’s reviews online, other people seem to find them fascinating and cover-to-cover page-turners, so maybe I should give them another go. (But I also thought the movie Quills was boring, too, despite having Kate Winslet starring in it….)

If the case is that I just simply don’t like my smut adulterated with all that philosphical nonsense, well, Lupus have kindly provided me with a wonderful alternative: The Recognition of the Great Marquis….

Today’s story tells of a rakish aristocrat, so decadent that nothing excites him any more. He has everything he wants. Musicians play for him 24 hours a day and pretty maids jump into his bed when he beckons. But even that has lost its excitement.

Everything bores him. Until his daughter arrives with her fiancé. They have come from France, which is convulsed by revolution. The fiancé, devoted to the arts, is much disturbed by the uproar and cruelty of the times. You know him. Who might he be?

All those questions will be answered in The Recognition of the Great Marquis. All we will say is that you will see three lovely maids beaten on their bottoms. You will enjoy their weeping and pleading. You will see them bound to a bench and tied up and elevated to the ceiling, and you will never forget their nakedness. And last but not least, everything will be spiced with humorous situations and unexpected collisions.

The continuous fast action of The Recognition of the Great Marquis by Lupus Pictures will draw you in and never let you go.

“Fast action,” yup, I think that was what I wanted! To quote Elvis, “A little less conversation, a little more action!”

Vintage split drawers spanking

Here is a lovely series of images I found! Enjoy — there is nothing like a plump and firm bottom emerging from a pair of split drawers, is there? Well, all the better if it’s getting spanked, of course! ;)

The Vintage Erotica Collection (1920-1960)

“All I want for Christmas is…”

Well, no, that’s not true. I’m a greedy little girl and want lots of things! But I would really love to find The Vintage Erotica Collection under the tree! (But I don’t particularly want my family to buy it for me for obvious reasons.) My friend Maggie Mayhem reviewed it over on her blog, saying:

“I’m a bit of a retro-sexual. I’ve always loved porn from yesteryear, especially when it comes from the silver age of cinema.

It’s easy to think we discovered sex or at the very least perfected it. It’s hard enough to think of our parents having sex let alone our grandparents. Maybe I’m a bit odd in that I can’t get enough of vintage porn. I’m not really alone. [...]

I enjoy a good moving picture though, even if it isn’t a talkie. I really liked Vintage Erotica Anno 1920. Released by Cult Epics, it is an incredible collection of mostly French erotic films. They do feature hardcore sex and some pretty sexy fetish scenes as well. If you’re looking to build up a collection of the origins of porn as we know it, it’s a really good place to start. You can buy by the decade as well and watch the trends and evolution of filmed sex.
Enjoying a vintage hand job
What I really enjoyed about this film is the whimsy behind much of the porn and the willingness to cross genres. Most contemporary porn is put into individual categories and can be very single minded. This is fantastic if you’re just looking for anal sex, lesbian porn, bondage, pissing (and hey, we all get a one track mind sometimes) but what about those times when you want your porn to dip its toes into several genres at once? In many of the flicks in this DVD you’ll find a blending of sex acts.

The movies featured in this DVD are what kick started porn in America. “The Valley” in Los Angeles, CA did not always have the distinction of being the porn capital of the world. Everything sex used to come out of Paris, France. Aside from beating back the nazis, American soldiers brought back “French postcards” as well as memories of the reels shown in the brothels. The result was a chain reaction leading to the establishment of the site you’re looking at right now.

I do recommend this DVD and the ones that follow it in succession if you can get your hands on a copy. I certainly enjoyed it and it’s the kind of thing I force my friends to sit through as well so naturally I’m telling you all about it.”
