I’ve been spending a certain amount of time over at the British Spanking Community, and I’ve started a thread that you lot might be interested in. It’s about a different style of caning than the cannonical “Six of the Best.”

Here’s what I started with:

Okay, first I’ll start by saying that the platonic ideal of a caning is 6 (or some greater number) of The Best, done with pauses in between to let the pain rise up, etc.

Now that that’s out of the way, does anyone do the “modern style,” “california style,” whatever you want to call it style of caning, which is quick fast tapping on the bottom (thighs, etc.)?
My Master generally goes for the Old School (literally ) style, but sometimes he likes to mix it up by doing some of the other style.

Calling it tapping doesn’t do it justice. It starts out with just enough intensity to get your attention, but then the pain then starts building up, and as the cane goes “strike-strike-strike-strike-strike” you end up dazzled by the intensity of it. I, who can hold still for 6 of The Best, done cold, end up gasping and can’t help but try to squirm away.

Anyway, I wanted to see if there were any other fans of this style of caning, and also say that if you haven’t tried it yet, it’s really worth the time. (If you’re used to the other kind of caning, it might take a while to get the rhythym of it, and the right amount of force, but once you get it, you’ll enjoy the show, and your partner will thank you!)

Oh, and I’ll add that this can be done with a short, straight cane in a number of interesting postions (assuming it’s a male Top, female bottom), such as:

• Lying together on the bed (and if the male Top is lying on his side, he can put one arm under the girl, and penetrate her with his finger, while the other arm is free to cane away. It’s a bit like patting your head while rubbing your belly, but the orgasms she can have like this are worth your while!)
• The man lying on the bed, the girl riding him in “Reverse Cowgirl” style (i.e. — on top, but facing away). As she bounces up and down, you just flick your wrist and catch her on different parts of her bottom as she moves. (Perfect for the lazy Top!)

And more, but those are the ones that spring to mind. (Obviously, I have a dirty mind!) And, these are “tested and approved” by me and my Master. (Who also obviously has a dirty mind, because he came up with all of them!)
